Cadence & Jared–Cranberry Pond Wedding

Cadence & Jared

Cranberry Pond Wedding

Private Residence and Private Clubhouse

Cadence and Jared’s wedding in the woods was unforgettable.  The details were gorgeous and the setting was special and picturesque.  After a year of planning, preparing, and an incredible amount of work done by her parents, the day was perfect.  We could not have been more excited for the day or more honored to have been apart of such a beautiful wedding.

Cadence grew up playing on the lake at the family’s vacation home in Tolland.  It has so many special memories and such a place of joy and fun for the whole family including Jared.  There could not have been a better place for their wedding.  For the last year, her parents worked hard on their home.  They even upgraded the dock so there would be a beautiful place to exchange vows. We know from personal experience how much work went into this day since we have the cottage next door!  We have watched the transformation and have been in awe of the results.  We were so excited that they asked us to be apart of the day.  The Wildwood Community is small and tight knit.  It just seemed so fitting for us to document this day.

On the day of the wedding, the house was adored with amazing flowers and fern runner courtesy of Snow Farm.  The flowers and details for this wedding created by the farm were some of the most spectacular arrangements I have seen.  Lindsey and Sue transformed the house and lake clubhouse with their floral arrangements and full of seasonal flowers and woodland touches.  The moss and sunflower runner leading to the clubhouse was one of my favorite wedding details to date.

Cadence and Jared opted for a first look, so we were able to go to some of their and our favorite spots at the lake for photos.  We walked the road to one of the beaches, explored the hill of huckleberry bushes, and took photos amongst the lake bystanders on the dock.  The photo session was full of fun and best wishes.  Everyone on the lake was excited to catch a glimpse of Cadence.

Guests watched at the couple exchanged vows behind the cottage on the dock overlooking the lake.  Since the water was such an important backdrop, it took on more meaning when they did a water ceremony.  Each person was asked to pour the water that represented his or her relationship to the couple.  Once the ceremony was complete, cocktail hour was held on the deck as the newlyweds were toasted.  Then it was off to the clubhouse for a night of dancing, laughing, corn hole, and conversation under the stars.  The understated clubhouse turned into a beautifully lit venue.  The wedding and the weekend was the perfect way for everyone to spend their Labor Day!
