They finally made it official! Ariana and Billy’s love story began in high school a decade ago. Their families have known each other for year. These two have already bought a house and started raising a fur baby together. While in some ways they already felt married, you feel the excitement from everyone that this day had finally arrived. It was touching to see all the genuine tears of joy and hear all the kind words that everyone had to share.

For us, the best part of this wedding was Billy and Ariana’s absolute excitement for the photos. It isn’t often that we are given the extra time AND extra locations. But, after they waited out a pandemic, these two wanted to make the most of their special day. We met everyone at Wickham Park for the first set of photos. And after their ceremony, we headed to Hartford City Hall with just the bride and groom. We love the elegance the building brings to the photos. It is a truly special setting. Then we were off to the Riverview to their reception.

The Riverview is always a gorgeous venue for a reception. Ariana and Billy’s wedding joined both sides of the venue to create one, spectacular ballroom. Local Motion Entertainment kept guests on the dancefloor, and everyone was treated to live painting thanks to Beth. It is such a fun experience to watch the painting come to life.

From their first look and personal vows, to heartwarming toasts, and a truly incredible first dance, there were so many unforgettable moments throughout this day. However, I wanted to highlight something particularly special for us to witness. We have been photographing weddings for over a decade, so we have met many families. It is rare to find a family who does “blended” as amazing as Billy’s. Each moment and each photo included everyone right there next to each other. In addition to Ariana’s dad, both Billy’s dad and stepdad toasted the couple. It was heartwarming to watch and such a true testament to the strength of love and family. But Billy’s family isn’t the only one that deserves a mention. As parents of three, we need all the parenting advice from Ariana’s parents. The bond between everyone in her family was so special. Her first look with her dad has been my favorite. Also, my apologies to all future fathers of the brides, thanks to Ariana’s dad, I will now expect each one to have a coordinating robe for getting ready photos!

Ariana and Billy, thank you so much for having us capture your day. We are so excited for you to begin the rest of your journey as husband and wife. Congrats!
