Madelyn and Michael had a beautiful summer wedding along the Connecticut shoreline. Michael is from Southern CT, so it is an area they know well. With family and friends traveling from all over, it was a great place for their destination wedding. These two were quite ambitious. They met in college and lived all over the country together. Just a week before their wedding they made the cross country journey home and relocated to NYC. Planning a wedding is crazy enough without adding in a major move. Despite all the work before the day, they were both relaxed and excited. It was such an amazing day to capture.
Jake I have been to many venues over the years, but this was our first time at The Inn at Longshore. We were immediately impressed by the view, the amenities, the food, and the staff. It is a venue we would highly recommend. I mean, it has an outdoor pizza oven! How can you go wrong?!
Madelyn and Michael’s ceremony was held on the back lawn overlooking the ocean. The cocktail hour was al fresco and the evening weather was perfect. Despite the many storm alerts and lighting warnings, the weather never took a turn for the worse. These two ended up with just the right weather for an oceanside wedding.
Although Madelyn is not Jewish, they decided to incorporate Judaism in their ceremony. Prior to exchanging vows in front of guests, they signed their Ketubah with the Rabbi, family, and bridal party. They were married underneath a chuppah adorned with amazing floral bouquets. The Rabbi officiated a lovely ceremony. After the ceremony and cocktail hour, guests were treated to an evening of dancing to live music. The band had everyone our of their seats and dancing. We enjoyed all the moments of the day, and we were very excited to be apart of the wedding. We hope you enjoy checking out the photos.
