Connecticut Wedding @ Heritage Hotel, Southbury, CT
Jake and I constantly get asked if we still enjoy weddings. Since we have been photographing together for a decade, people are always curious if it just feels like another day work day. I can’t speak for all wedding vendors, but for us, it is never just another day. Each wedding we photograph is unique and special. Each couple brings their own touches and special moments to the day. Personally, I still cry at weddings. I still laugh at the speeches. I love meeting friends and family. Just like every other guest at the wedding, we are experiencing the moments and we are invested in the love story. We may photograph the same type of moment but the moment is never the same. Dana and Maura’s wedding had so many personal touches and unique moments. We were so honored to capture all of it. And, yes, I laughed and cried.
Dana and Maura made it official not only for them but for Dana’s kids as well. Some of my favorite moments were those with the kids. Blending families can have it challenges. So, it was truly special to see the bond that has already formed and how important this day was for everyone.
This was a wedding full of love and fun. From the hilarious toasts to the heartfelt words of the groom, we left with such a sense of who these two are as individuals and as a couple. It was clear how much they are loved, love each other and how exciting this day was for both families. Congrats to the both of you! Cheers to many years of happiness.
